Service in Our Neighborhood

Volunteers for some positions that involve working with minors or vulnerable adults are required to go through a screening process including a criminal background check.  Sign up here to begin the application process to serve our preschoolers, children, students, and special needs adults.  In the meantime, browse through the following opportunities to serve those in our neighborhood and email the contact listed for the ministry that interests you.

Home Outreach Ministry
This ministry reaches out to church members and non members who are unable to attend church on a regular basis due to health issues. A team of caring volunteers build and maintain relationships with these individuals, showing them that they are an important part of our church and they are loved. Our volunteers are the key to helping the homebound.  They help by making home visits, phone calls and sending cards about once a month, telling about what is happening at Ridgecrest Baptist Church and asking how the church can help meet their individual needs. If you feel God leading you to be part of this ministry or you have questions about this ministry please contact Val Roth at 601-665-4973 or click her to send her an e-mail.

This group provides lunch for the ICU waiting room at Baptist Hospital every Monday.  It usually consists of sandwiches, chips, desserts, and fruit.  We have 5 people that volunteer to deliver the lunch every week, and about 90 volunteers that make the lunch. The volunteers are on a rotating schedule, and usually provide their item about once every 2 months.  Click below on a month to view the volunteer schedule.
